About

“I am seeking. I am striving. I am in it with all my heart”.
-Vincent van Gogh
"If I could described it with words, there would be no reason to paint. To me, it is an expression, a release, an homagé and an act of love".
Danny Moscoso also known as D.Mos is recognized for his bold, vibrant mixed-media pieces that reimagine iconic imagery through explosive color and texture. His work draws from his love for music, and is influenced by contemporary legendary figures.
Moscoso was born in Lima, Peru and currently lives and works in Los Angeles. He graduated from Loyola Marymount University and his career has afforded him studies and training in illustration, painting, graphic design, photography and ceramics.
D.Mos donated a large collage piece of the Peruvian flag to the Peruvian General Consulate in Los Angeles, during the grand re-opening of their offices. This piece, comprised of hundreds of recycled paper pieces, is entitled “Pedazos de Mi Corazon”, and hangs on the office walls to welcome guests.
The original “Petty”, a hand-drawn, pointillism piece, comprised of thousands of dots, was gifted to Tom Petty directly after his very last live performance at the Hollywood Bowl, wrapping up their 40th Anniversary Tour.
His work has been exhibited at KGB Studios, 1st Point Studios, Artlife Gallery, LabArt Gallery, Rizo Corp Gallery, Blvkbook Gallery, Pancakes & Booze Art Show, Chocolate and Art Show, Thinkspace Gallery, Los Ruano Gallery, HoneyDrop Gallery, XZBT, Long Beach First Friday’s Artwalk, DTLA Artwalk, Torrance Art Museum and 1650 Gallery & Studio, among others.
